Prevention Settings

Access your prevention settings from the NavonaAI dashboard → Settings. Changes take effect immediately after saving.

1. AI Prevention Feature Toggle

The master on/off switch for the entire abandonment prevention system.

  • ON — NavonaAI monitors exit intent and shows the pop-up to qualifying shoppers
  • OFF — The pop-up is completely disabled; no shoppers will see it

Turn the toggle OFF during major sales events like Black Friday or flash sales. When you're already offering site-wide discounts, the prevention pop-up isn't needed and can interfere with your existing promotions.

2. Incentive Type

Choose the type of discount to offer abandoning shoppers:

OptionDescriptionBest For
Percentage DiscountA percentage off the cart total (e.g., 15% off)Most stores — scales with cart value
Fixed AmountA flat amount off (e.g., $10 off)High-AOV stores with consistent cart sizes

Percentage discounts work well for most stores because the discount amount scales naturally with the cart value — a 15% discount feels meaningful on both a $50 cart and a $200 cart.

3. Incentive Amount

The specific discount value to offer (percentage or fixed amount, depending on your incentive type).

10–15% is typically enough to convert a hesitant shopper. You don't need to give away large discounts to be effective. Remember: recovering a sale at a 10% discount is always better than losing that sale entirely.

Start conservatively and only increase if you're seeing low conversion rates on the pop-up. Once you find an amount that converts well, stick with it.

4. Minimum Purchase Amount (Optional)

Set a minimum cart value required for the shopper to receive the NavonaAI discount.

  • Enter 0.00 (or leave blank) for no minimum — all carts qualify
  • Enter a specific amount to restrict discounts to carts above that threshold

Protect your margins on small orders. A €10 order with a 15% discount yields only €8.50 — which may not cover fulfillment costs after fees. Setting a minimum purchase threshold (e.g., €30 or €50) ensures you're only discounting orders where the economics make sense.

5. Discount Combination Settings

Controls how the NavonaAI discount interacts with other active discounts in your store. Each combination type can be toggled independently:

Order-Level Discounts

Discounts applied to the entire cart — typically promo codes your customers enter at checkout.

  • ON — NavonaAI discount stacks with any active promo code
  • OFF — Customer must choose between their promo code and the NavonaAI discount; they cannot use both

Product-Level Discounts

Discounts applied to individual products — items already marked down or on sale.

  • ON — NavonaAI discount applies on top of existing product sale prices
  • OFF — NavonaAI discount does not stack with product-level discounts

Shipping Discounts

Discounts that reduce or eliminate shipping costs.

  • ON — NavonaAI discount stacks with any active free/reduced shipping offer
  • OFF — NavonaAI discount does not combine with shipping discounts

Recommended starting point: Leave all combination settings OFF. This gives you the most control over your discount strategy and prevents unexpected margin erosion from stacked discounts. You can always enable specific combinations later if your business model supports it.
